How to move a mountain…

2009 was a difficult year for many. The economic down turn seemed to be the major headline, a grey cloud bringing bad news of the credit crunch, lost homes, lost jobs and lost dreams. It’s a bit like a mountain which refused to move. We all know the verse “If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to the mountain move and it will…” So what do we do when that mountain just refuses to budge? Well my experience is that when the mountain won’t move, we just have to walk through it!

When the mountain won’t move, we start digging, there’s no time to walk around it, that may take us off course and away from our destiny. So we dig, deep into our faith resources, into the scripture and we remember God’s promises, “He will never leave us or forsake us, he takes care of his children, he is our strength and our provider..” and so on.

So on with the walking boots, get the shovel out, on with the hard hat and lets make this mountain move, lets make a tunnel and lets walk through it!

2009 has seemed a bit like a tunnel to me, sometimes a little dark, sometimes a little scary. We have had remain very focused and work a little harder, we have introduced some great new designs, improved our quality and customer service (I hope you will agree), our craftsmanship is now world class, in other words, with Christ beside us and hard hat of faith securely in place, we have done some serious tunneling!

Yes! We are moving the mountain, little by little, we are tunneling through with God and His Joy as our strength. It takes a lot of determination, but we are still on the move, never complacent, we aim to live our best lives and do our best work in Christ!.

Whatever your mountain is, you too, can tunnel through, here’s how, put on your hard hat of faith (or helmet of salvation if you prefer) and start digging, Dig deep into your heart for what makes you feel alive and start to move in that direction. Dig into God’s promises, what has he already told you? What has he already done? He cannot fail to keep His promises(Its just not in His character). 1,2, 3. Dig!, now take a step forward.. 1,2,3,dig!, now take another step and another and keep on moving! Bit by bit you are moving your mountain!

2010 promises to be a much brighter year. I see the light at the end of the tunnel and we are almost through the mountain, ..I hope you are too ... meanwhile, happy tunneling!
